NEMO is open every day, including 25 and 26 December and 1 January.

Winter in the Laboratory

Why does slippery ice disappear from the road when we spread gritting salt? How do fireworks shoot so high into the air on New Year's Eve? And how can you tell if the almond paste in your stollen or pastry is really made from almonds? Find out in the Winter Lab. Safety glasses? Check! Lab coat? Check! Let's get to work!

Workshops and demonstrations

There are all kinds of extra activities in the museum during the holidays. In the demonstration For sure?!, you will discover how scientists work step by step in experiments. You can get started yourself with workshops and build a sorting machine or a chain reaction. And the Chain Reaction demonstration can be seen even more often!
