TIME WILL TELL

19 January 2022 until 21 February 2025

Exhibition

This activity has ended.

Visit the interactive exhibition TIME WILL TELL and take part in actual research. Discover through various experiments how the internal clock in your mind works. Why do some days at work last so long while the holidays seem to fly by so quickly?

Take part in scientific research

Through various experiments, you will discover how you experience time. Moreover, you will be part of real scientific research. Scientists from the experimental psychology department at the University of Groningen study how people experience time in their minds. How does this internal clock work? And why is it useful to research this? Answers to these questions, and many more, are revealed in the exhibition.

Previous research into time

You will also travel back in time to the special laboratory of the Groningen psychologist Gerard Heymans (1867-1930). He was the first psychologist in the Netherlands to use test subjects to conduct scientific research. His experiments and instruments regarding, among other things, time perception, caused major breakthroughs in psychology.

Will you immerse yourself in the wonderful world of time?
