National Museum Week in the Netherlands
National Museum Week takes place in April every year, and playfully gives pride of place to our cultural heritage, the museums’ unique collections. Previous editions have amazed the public, including by putting an enormous golden spacesuit in a parking lot along a highway. A giant inflatable of Grutte Pier’s sword in the Leeuwarden market square also attracted attention from the throngs of shoppers. Museum Week 2020 was forced online, resulting in great digital TV.
