Vanaf 10 december 2025 toont Stedelijk Museum Alkmaar de tentoonstelling Alkmaar in Beeld: door de lens van toen en nu.

Iconische zwart-witfoto’s van de gerenommeerde fotografen Maria Austria, Eva Besnyö, Henk Jonker en Ad Windig uit de jaren vijftig worden daarin voor het eerst sinds hun ontstaan opnieuw getoond. Daarnaast presenteert het museum nieuw werk van de hedendaagse fotograaf Jonne Lucia. die zich liet inspireren door haar voorgangers en het Alkmaar van nu vastlegde. Het resultaat is een bijzondere visuele ontmoeting tussen verleden en heden.
