Stadsmuseum Doetinchem is housed in Doetinchem’s old post office. This national heritage site, dating from 1920, is one of the best examples of the Amsterdam School in the Achterhoek region.

The museum illustrates the history of Doetinchem through a number of unique objects. Here you can view the museum’s detailed scale models of the city as well as an exceptional 9th century Viking sword. The museum also focuses on painters from the Achterhoek region, music societies and archaeological finds. The temporary exhibitions offer spaces for art, design and heritage.
