Fransix Tenda Lomba

Visual artist Fransix Tenda Lomba (1984) grew up in the Congo and studied at the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam, the city where he has lived and worked ever since. His multidisciplinary body of work includes drawings, paintings, sculptures and animated videos. Key themes in his work include colonial history and post-colonial society, the economic relations between Africa and the West, and the way in which raw materials such as cocoa create global networks of power and dependency.
