Minimal art

Six works by minimal artists from the collection are brought together in the large sculpture gallery. Minimal art originated in the late 1960s. Artists such as Carl Andre, Eva Hesse, Donald Judd, Sol LeWitt and Robert Morris bring sculpture back to basics: a work can be horizontal or upright, it occupies a space, is made of a certain material and has a structure and a form. The sculptures are simply what they are.
