Foam presenteert de solo tentoonstelling War is Personal van de Oekraïense fotojournalist en documentairemaker Julia Kochetova. Kochetova behoort tot een nieuwe generatie beeldmakers die de oorlog in Oekraïne persoonlijk meemaken en van binnenuit documenteren.

Kochetova

Julia Kochetova (1993) is een Oekraïense fotograaf en documentairemaker, gevestigd in Kyiv. Kochetova studeerde journalistiek aan de Taras Shevchenko National University (UA) en de Mohyla School of Journalism (UA), en nam daarnaast deel aan de IDFAcademy (NL). Ze werkt regelmatig voor media als The Guardian, Der Spiegel, Vice News, Zeit en Bloomberg. In 2023 won Kochetova een Emmy Award (Vice News) en in 2024 werd haar werk bekroond door World Press Photo (Global Winner, Open Format).
