Engage with the nominated artists of the Galatea Art Prize 2023, in which eight artists with a migration history will show their work to the Dutch public. They each have their own story, background and source of inspiration.
Open conversation
During Ask the Artist, several artists will be present in the exhibition for an afternoon from 13-17 hours. They will be happy to engage in an open conversation with visitors about their work, what it is like to start over in another country, what occupies them, et cetera. Participation is free of charge and is possible in several languages. See below which artist will be present when and which languages they speak.
Saturday 8 April
Natalia Olhova from Ukraine and Marfa Vasilieva from Ukraine and the former Soviet Union. They speak Ukrainian and English.
Friday 12 May
Tasha Arlova from Belarus - Belarus and Mohammad Abou Chair from Palestine. They speak English, Arabic, Dutch and Russian.
Saturday 10 June
Berkay Tuncay from Turkey and Noor Issa from Syria. They speak Turkish, Arabic and English.
Friday, July 7
Vita Buivid and Natalia Grezina, both from Ukraine, former Soviet Union. They speak Ukrainian and English.
