Chinese bruidskroon

Chinese wedding crown     Crown inspired by the traditional crown of the empress, the Chao guan.

This crown is inspired by the traditional crown of the empress, the Chao guan. It is an impressive structure, full of symbolic meaning. The phoenix, the mythological bird that springs from fire, was a common symbol; additional symbols were the blossom of the plum tree, symbolising female innocence, and the red colour of the carnelian and coral, symbolising good fortune and wealth.
