Pavilion

The exhibition pavilion, designed by Wiel Arets, is conceived as a living entity: an organic ecosystem in which works of art, space and the history of the site engage in a subtle dialogue with one another.

Water

The exhibition takes as its starting point the country estate’s unique relationship with water – an element that both brings life and can cause destruction, as demonstrated by the flooding of the Hedge House in 2021. In a new installation, Calò evokes an enigmatic underwater world. Bronze sculptures bear traces of erosion, mysterious shell-like forms seem to grow out of the walls, and mythological tales intertwine with natural processes.

Practice

Through his unhurried artistic practice, Calò invites visitors to view time, nature and climate in a different light. The installation transforms the Hedge House into a poetic, almost otherworldly landscape in which art, architecture and the surroundings merge.
