W139 is an influential production and presentation space for contemporary art in the heart of Amsterdam.

Experiment

Since its founding in 1979, when artists squatted the building, W139 has remained a space for an activist and diverse community of makers. At W139, everything revolves around experimentation: we deliberately give artists the space to take risks and realize ambitious, urgent projects.
