Tuan Andrew Nguyen – The Unburied Sounds of a Troubled Horizon
Until 13 December
Exhibition
This autumn, Vleeshal will be reflecting on the traces and aftermath of war with a film and a sculptural installation by sculptor and filmmaker Tuấn Andrew Nguyễn.
Exhibition
The exhibition consists of two parts: the film The Unburied Sounds of a Troubled Horizon and a sculpture made from recovered unexploded ordnance found in the area around Quang Tri on the coast of Vietnam. Together, these works raise the question of whether war ever truly ends and how it spreads across geographical boundaries and generations.
