On October 14th, during Meet the Masters, Mandy Woelkens, Tatjana Almuli and Cleo Campert will share their fascination with the work of Nan Goldin. Furthermore, there will be music by Fata Boom.

Each month, the Meet the Masters program introduces you to the work of one central influential artist. In this edition, we’re exploring the work of Nan Goldin. Goldin (1953) is known as a photographer – but in the exhibition This Will Not End Well she is presented as a filmmaker for the first time. During this Saturday talk, other makers will help us zoom in on the stories in her work. These are stories about her circle of friends in New York in the eighties, traumatic family histories or the addiction that has dogged her throughout her adult life. Although her style is very intimate and personal, the themes are universal and speak to all generations.

Therefore, after an introduction by Heske ten Cate (artistic director of Nest and podcast maker) a.o. Tatjana Almuli (author, journalist and photographer), Cleo Campert (photographer) and Yamuna Forzani (artist, designer) will share their fascination with Nan Goldin. Also, there will be music by Fata Boom.
