This summer holiday (5 July to 31 August) NEMO is extra exciting. Discover the new rooftop square, enjoy the demonstrations or experiment yourself at a workshop.

Rooftop square

Discover the new rooftop square and discover how green spaces make for a healthy city. Here, you can study the clouds, measure the air quality, spot the different city birds and discover how smart ideas can help achieve a sustainable future.

Summer on the rooftop

NEMO's rooftop square hosts all kinds of activities in summer. Enjoy the summery atmosphere, music, snacks and drinks and the best views of Amsterdam. On Thursdays and Fridays, the rooftop square is open until 21:00. There is live music every Thursday evening, three film screenings at the end of August and yoga throughout the summer.

During the summer holiday there are many extra activities in NEMO. In the Makery you can make a 3D projection using reflections, send each other messages in code language and make your own short film. You can also build your own chain reaction and check out the Magic or Science demonstration. Or participate in real scientific research?
