The museum tells the story of the longstanding tradition of laundry and ironing. If you look more closely, you can discover the story of western history from centuries ago until the present through objects, paintings, prints and drawings. Laundry and Ironing presents the story of everyday clothing care and how people used to interact with each other over 350 years of history. The collection Brabant Goedgemutst will take you back in time through the clothing that farmers in Brabant wore between 1850-1950, when poffers and different types of hats were vitally important for both men and women.
