Discover how the 20th century changed everything

Step back in time at the Museum of the 20th Century. Vintage interiors and thousands of objects bring the past to life.

Stroll through a classic Dutch shopping street, or take a seat in an old-fashioned classroom. Examine interesting objects from yesteryear, such as Meccano, the video game Pong, or a video recorder. Learn about poverty, days of long and hard labor and simple living conditions. Never before has so much changed in a single century.

Fun for everyone

Aside from the permanent collection, the museum hosts various temporary exhibitions. For children, there’s a free scavenger hunt and audio tour. An audio tour is available for adults too.
