Museum Stedhûs Sleat is located in the former city hall of Sloten. This historic building dating from 1759 was restored to its former glory in 2001.

Exhibition halls

The history of Sloten is exhibited in various stunning halls. Visitors walk into the world of Peter Bonnet (1898-1979) in the museum attic. Over the course of his life this former resident of Sloten amassed the largest collection of magic lanterns in the Netherlands.
