Spakenburg Museum is a historical oasis of the rich life of farmers, fishermen and traditional craftsmen. The museum focuses on interesting contradictions. Traditional values and innovation go hand-in-hand.

The contemporary exhibition covering over 1500 m2 lets visitors stroll along homes of fishermen and other village residents, a farm, shop, small school, a smokehouse before reaching the grand finale: a procession of the most beautiful traditional costumes. The museum also shines a spotlight on local entrepreneurial activity and soccer teams (SV Spakenburg wearing blue and white, and IJsselmeervogels wearing red and white).

Bunschoten-Spakenburg is a friendly municipality with its own character and interesting contrasts. Visit the wonderful collection and the audiovisual media exhibits for an experience to remember.
