Where past and present meet... Museum Het Petershuis is located in one of two remaining medieval houses in Gennep. The museum is dedicated to archaeology and contemporary art.

Romans and Germanic peoples

The permanent exhibition showcases findings of digs and research. The exhibits include a scale model of an Iron Age farm. There’s also a focus on the Romans and Germanic peoples that once lived in this region. In addition, the museum also tells the stories of Gennep’s rich history as a center of pottery production. The potters from Gennep were known for producing spectacular items such as cabinet plates. Furthermore, the museum organizes 8-10 temporary exhibitions each year, featuring the work of contemporary artists.
