A visit to Museum de Buitenplaats is not complete without a walk through the Museum Garden

Museum De Buitenplaats has something for everyone: from art, music, literature and garden lovers to those of history and modern architecture. The focus is on figurative art.

The museum building is worth seeing: a much talked-about example of organic architecture. The museum pavilion and the garden are the backdrop to the exhibitions and stage events.

Exhibitions

The pavilion hosts three or four exhibitions every year, devoted to contemporary figurative art in the broadest sense possible. The museum also highlights other art forms with regular musical performances, theater and literature readings.

Nijsinghhuis

The private residence next door, the Nijsinghhuis, frequently opens its doors to the public. In recent decades, this national heritage site dating from 1654 has been decorated with interior paintings by Matthijs Röling, Wout Muller, Olga Wiese, Clary Mastenbroek and Pieter Pander.
