Museum Bronbeek focuses on Dutch colonialism in Indonesia, especially the KNIL (Royal Netherlands East Indies Army).

Colonial history

Museum Bronbeek takes you back to the Dutch colonial past. It presents the history of the KNIL (Royal Netherlands East Indies Army) and the colonized. The story begins in the 16th century, then continues through the Second World War and culminates in the post-colonial period. Stories from eyewitnesses, authentic uniforms, weapons and videos paint the historical picture.
