The Abdijkerk in Thorn

For over 800 years, Thorn was ruled by noble women. The white city’s gothic abbey church, which is still in use, tells the story of these nobles.

The eastern crypt is home to relics as well as a famous mummy. The ladies’ choir and chapter room house the church treasures. To get the most from your visit, start at museum Het Land van Thorn. The museum offers combined tickets for both the museum and the abbey church, as well as a free audio tour of the art treasures on display.
