Pentimenti – Stephan Vanfleteren Among the Masters

The Belgian photographer Stephan Vanfleteren (1969), one of the most highly regarded photographers of our time, has been commissioned by the Mauritshuis to create new work. This will be on display in the exhibition Pentimenti – Stephan Vanfleteren among the masters.

Leading Belgian photographer Stephan Vanfleteren came to seek inspiration among the paintings at the Mauritshuis. The result is sixteen images, fifteen of them new – one for each room in the Mauritshuis. They are shown hanging, standing or lying among the artworks painted centuries ago that inspired them.
