Celina Eceiza – Rubyfruit Jungle

Collaboration

In collaboration with a wide network of textile craftspeople, the exhibition brings together murals, drawings, garments, sculptures and textile works to form one large installation.

Celina Eceiza

The walls and ceilings are covered with large, hand-crafted textiles that have been painted, dyed and embroidered, whilst the floors are composed of discarded clothing. The multi-talented Eceiza transforms the exhibition space into a poetic, colourful and soft environment.

Flowers

She draws, writes and colours huge swathes of fabric, painting or embroidering images onto them – often featuring references to works of art and artists she loves, titles and quotations she finds significant, and large figures, kissing couples, fantastical creatures or enormous flowers.
