The Kunstmuseum is a modern palace of the arts housed in an impressive Art Deco building designed by Berlage. Roam through rooms flooded with natural daylight and discover the extensive collection at one of Europe’s largest art museums.

The Kunstmuseum houses a prominent collection of modern and contemporary visual arts, fashion and other applied arts. It is the home of Piet Mondrian, exhibiting 300 of his works. His oeuvre is a clear depiction of his life and development toward abstract art. Mondrian’s works are juxtaposed with those of his predecessors and contemporaries, such as Monet, Picasso and Kandinsky, and the following generation: Sol LeWitt, Francis Bacon and Louise Bourgeois.
