The largest and most extensive clog collection in the world

Over 2,800 pairs of clogs and wooden-soled shoes from 43 different countries! Discover the story of the wooden shoe at the International Wooden Shoe Museum. From tool to haute couture.

Eiso and Egbert Wietzes, Eelde’s last two clogmakers, lay the basis for this collection, which was later expanded. Nowadays, the museum’s collection contains over 2,800 wooden shoes and objects with wooden soles.

Clogmaking

Aside from the large collection of wooden shoes, discover the craft of clogmaking, for example through the specialized machinery dating from 1920.
