Virtual Assistant

The Museumkaart's Virtual Assistant is a digital, automated assistant that helps visitors to Museum.nl find general information about the Museumkaart, participating museums and practical matters relating to the use of the card. The virtual assistant is intended as a supplementary tool and helps to answer frequently asked questions and direct users to relevant information on the website. This assistant does not replace personal contact with customer services and is not intended to provide individual advice. In such cases, it is recommended that you contact customer services.

The virtual assistant operates fully automatically and uses technology to interpret questions and generate answers based on available information. Artificial intelligence may be used for this purpose. Museum.nl endeavours to provide information that is as accurate and up-to-date as possible, but cannot guarantee that all answers are complete, correct or up-to-date. No rights may be derived from the virtual assistant’s answers.

Use and Responsibilities

The information provided by the virtual assistant is of a general and informative nature. The virtual assistant does not make any binding commitments, guarantees or decisions, and cannot create any rights or obligations for users. Any decisions taken on the basis of the information provided are at the user’s own risk.

Users are requested to use the virtual assistant with care and not to share unlawful, misleading, offensive or otherwise inappropriate content. Users are also asked not to provide normal, sensitive or special categories of personal data, such as your name and address details, medical data or personal data relating to third parties. The virtual assistant is not designed for this purpose. Should personal data nevertheless be provided, please refer to the Museum.nl privacy statement, which explains in more detail how personal data is handled.

Museum.nl reserves the right to take action in the event of misuse or improper use of the virtual assistant.

Availability and liability

Museum.nl endeavours to ensure the virtual assistant is readily available and functions properly, but cannot guarantee that this service will always be error-free or available without interruption. The virtual assistant may be temporarily or permanently modified, suspended or discontinued without prior notice.

Museum.nl accepts no liability for any damage arising from the (incorrect) use or inability to use the virtual assistant, including damage resulting from incorrect or incomplete information, technical faults or temporary unavailability, to the extent permitted by law.

Please note: the virtual assistant will never ask for passwords, codes or usernames – never disclose these!
