Historiehuis (History House) Roermond is a small museum telling a big story. The history of Roermond stands out from that of most cities in the Netherlands. In the Historiehuis, you can see items you wouldn’t see and hear stories you wouldn’t hear anywhere else.

For centuries, Roermond belonged to modern-day Belgium. A Catholic city where the Spaniards, Austrians and French all left their mark. By the way, did you know that Roermond was one of the capitals of the four quarters of the Duchy of Guelders? Or that dozens of witches were burned at the stake here?
