It’s that time of year again! The annual Wild Summer of Art at Brutus is back, with this year’s theme being: The Treasure Hunt. Over the course of eight weeks, visitors can discover artworks by 50 Rotterdam-based artists, plus weekly performances and shows during the Brutus Takeover.
Wild Summer of Art
On Friday 17 July, Wild Summer of Art 2026 – The Treasure Hunt Edition opens at Brutus. For eight weeks, fifty Rotterdam-based artists will showcase unknown, surprising and under-exposed aspects of their work.
Raw
Curators Hajo Doorn and Cokkie Snoei deliberately chose not to have an overarching theme, opting instead for a Treasure Hunt-theme. Wander through the raw, industrial spaces of Brutus and discover artworks that tell their own stories. No complicated concepts here.
Programme
This WSoA, Brutus once again offers a wide-ranging programme of performances, music and workshops. The weekly highlight will be the Brutus Takeover every Friday, in which artists transform the space into a unique, experimental experience.
