Due to COVID-19, Agrarisch Museum Westerhem is closed until further notice. Activities have either been cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19. This follows national policy and the recommendations of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM).

Stolpboerderij

Agrarisch Museum Westerhem is housed in a renovated stolpboerderij (a square farmhouse typical of the province of North Holland) dating from 1877. It became a museum in 2000. The living room with a closet-bed for the employee is quite unique. The farmhouse is typical of the regional style with a pyramid shape and the stable and living room are around the haystack creating a square. The cowshed consists of summer stable, cheese production and winter stable, with the horse stable adjacent to it. The hay loft is above. In the barnhouse you can see how people lived and worked in approximately 1900.
