Experimenting with XXL lithography

Litho XXL is a unique collaboration between the Dutch Museum of Lithography and Make Eindhoven, to stimulate and bring up to date the knowledge of the stone printing technique. Three artists are challenged to experiment with XXL lithography, under the guidance of master printer Gertjan Forrer and advisor Ingrid Simons.

Litho XXL

In 2019, the first edition of Litho XXL was carried out by the artists Ide André, Marjolein Landman and Annemarie Slobbe. In September 2021, the artists Dieke Venema, Lotte van Lieshout and Fiona Lutjenhuis were selected for the second edition of Litho XXL, out of more than thirty applications.

This project is created to look for new possibilities within the limits of lithography. The artists are therefore pushed to work within the trodden paths as well as beyond them.
