Washi Futurism is the collaboration between design duos Cream on Chrome (Jonas Althaus and Martina Huynh) and Craft Portrait (Pauline Agustoni and Satomi Minoshima). The Gallery 3 exhibition is an immersive journey into the beauty, craftsmanship, and local material culture behind the handmade Japanese paper Sekishu Washi. Washi Futurism revolves around the question: How can traditional crafts inspire and evolve in a contemporary context?
