The museum is located in a notary’s house, one of the oldest buildings in the historic center of Voorburg. Huygens’ Swaensteyn hosts a wide range of permanent exhibitions, with topics ranging from Roman times (the Forum Hadriani) and Princess Marianne to the visual arts. For a long time, Voorburg was a true artists’ town.
