The museum’s master of the house
The museum’s master of the house, Frans Hals, was one of the most innovative and famous painters of the Dutch Golden Age, along with Rembrandt and Vermeer. The largest number of paintings created by Hals in the world can be found here, including the world-famous militia paintings.
The museum courtyard house
The house was created from a 17th-century old men's almshouse with historical rooms and a beautiful courtyard.
