


Museum Catharijneconvent is the Museum for the Christian culture and art of the Netherlands. This remarkable museum is housed in a medieval monastery close to Utrecht's Dom. Get acquainted with famous pictures, ancient manuscripts, books, statues, altar pieces, ecclesiastical robes and relics. Due to a refurbishment the museum has been partly closed. Now the museum is completely transformed and reorganised. Visitors are once again able to enjoy the permanent collection on display in its full glory.

Visiting hours
Tuesday - Friday 10 am - 5 pm, weekends and public holidays 11 am - 5 pm.Closed on Mondays (except on public holidays), on 1 January and 30 April.

How to get there?
No.2 bus from Utrecht Central Station, (stop Lange Nieuwstraat). Travelling by car, follow the parking route (P) to multi-storey car parks on the Springweg or Strosteeg.
